ST. LOUIS, MO — The Saint Louis University athletics department, in conjunction with the Atlantic 10 Conference, released its full 2023-24 women’s basketball schedule on Wednesday.
Saint Louis will play 31 regular-season games, highlighted by 18 conference matchups, and 15 home contests.
The Billikens are coming off one of their most thrilling seasons ever, which saw the team win the A-10 Tournament and advance to the NCAA Tournament for the first time ever.
“This team is eager to get back on the court and compete,” head coach Rebecca Tillett said. “We are looking forward to our non-conference schedule which includes nine teams that qualified for postseason tournaments last season.”
Following an exhibition game against Missouri S&T, Saint Louis will kick off its regular season with a three-game homestand at Chaifetz Arena against Drake, Missouri and Missouri State, before participating in the North Shore Showcase, Nov. 18-21, in Laie, Hawaii, against BYU, Chaminade and Wake Forest.
SLU’s non-conference schedule will also include matchups with Illinois-Chicago, Wichita State, Ball State, Southern Illinois, and Wisconsin-Green Bay, before concluding with a game against Illinois State on December 19.
“We are excited to continue our regional series with Missouri, Missouri State and Illinois State,” Tillett said. “The opportunity to take our team to the North Shore Showcase in Laie, Hawaii, to play high-level competition in both BYU and Wake Forest will prep our team for the challenging A-10 slate.”
Conference play opens December 30 when the Billikens host Rhode Island before road games at Loyola Chicago and UMass.
The Billikens will take on Dayton, Davidson, Rhode Island and Loyola Chicago both home and away during their 2023-24 campaign. SLU will also host Richmond, Duquesne, Saint Joseph’s, St. Bonaventure, and VCU at Chaifetz.
Road games this season will include matchups with George Mason, Fordham, La Salle, George Washington and Massachusetts.
The team’s regular-season schedule will wrap up when the Billikens host Davidson, March 2.
The 2024 Atlantic 10 Women’s Basketball Championship will be played March 6-10 in the new, 3,500-seat Henrico Sports & Events Center in Henrico, Va.
Featured on the schedule is an ESPNU matchup at Rhode Island on Feb. 11.
All other A-10 contests will be streamed to ESPN+.
“We have new goals of exceeding season ticket sales to support these fierce women,” Tillett said. “Get your tickets today. We need Chaifetz Arena packed to make it one of the toughest places to play in the country.”
