ST. CHARLES, MO — Quarterback Nate Glantz posted 318 yards of total offense and threw three touchdown passes to lead the Lindenwood University football team to a 30-14 win in an OVC-Big South Football Association game over Tennessee-Martin, Saturday afternoon at Hunter Stadium.

The Lions outgained the Skyhawks 383 total yards to 298 yards, sacked the UT-Martin quarterback three times, and forced the game’s only turnover in what eventually proved to be a dominant win for Lindenwood.

Lindenwood also got big performances from wide receiver Jalen Smith and linebacker Sanjay Strickland. Smith caught three passes for 146 yards and a touchdown, while Strickland led the Lion defense with seven tackles (six solo) and a forced fumble.

Teammates Rico Bond and Drew Krobath also caught touchdown passes. Bond’s was his OVC-Big South leading fifth of the season.

The third quarter is when Lindenwood took over.

Glantz threw a 14-yard touchdown pass to Krobath that gave the Lions the lead early in the third. Then, just before the end of the quarter, Glantz hit Smith for the play of the game — a 62-yard touchdown — that brought the entire Hunter Stadium crowd to its feet.
