The Saint Louis University athletics department released its full 2024-25 men’s basketball schedule on Tuesday.
The Billikens will play 31 regular season game — 17 at home, 12 on the road, and two a neutral sites.
The season will begin on Monday, November 4, when Saint Louis will play Santa Clara in the “Field of 68 Opening Day Showcase” at the Sanford Pentagon in Sioux Falls, S.D. The Billiken home opener will be later that week, on Sunday, November 10, when SLU hosts Avila University at Chaifetz Arena.
“If you had told me when we started scheduling in mid-April, with 12 games to get, that we would have this non-conference schedule, I would have been overjoyed,” new SLU head coach Josh Schertz said. “Our road and neutral-site games are incredibly challenging, and our eight-game home (non-conference) schedule provides a number of quality opportunities against teams that will contend for their league championships.
“The goal at the beginning was to put together a non-conference schedule that (along with our Atlantic 10 season), if we have success, will position us for an at-large bid, and we think we have done that.”

SLU’s non-conference schedule will include matchups against Loyola-Marymount (November 16), Quinnipiac (November 25), Jackson State (December 2), and Illinois State (December). The Billikens will also play Wichita State in Kansas City as part of the Hall of Fame Classic at the T-Mobile Center on November 22.
The Atlantic 10 Conference schedule will begin on New Year’s Eve, with a matchup against Fordham in New York. Each of the league’s 15 members will play 18 games — nine at home and nine on the road — to determine the A-10’s regular season champion and seeding for the conference tournament, which will be played March 12-16 at Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C.
The winner of the A-10 championship tournament will earn an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
Saint Louis’ first home conference game will be January 3 against Saint Joseph’s.
This season, the Billikens will also play home conference games against St. Bonaventure (January 8), La Salle (January 22), VCU (January 28), Dayton (January 31), George Mason (February 11), Rhode Island (February 22), Loyola Chicago (March 1), and the regular season finale against Duquesne (March 8).

SLU’s road conference games will be the game at Fordham, then at VCU (January 14), at Richmond (January 18), at George Washington (January 25), at UMass (February 4), at Saint Joseph’s (February 7), at Loyola Chicago (February 14), at Davidson (February 25), and at Dayton (March 4).
The A-10 league office also released its nationally televised games. SLU will have at least nine games on national tv this year.
The A-10’s television contract will have the league playing games on the ESPN Networks, CBS Sports, and NBC Sports. All league games will be available for viewing through either television broadcast on online streaming.
