ST. LOUIS, MO — The Saint Louis University women’s softball team closed out its final home weekend of the 2025 season with a three-game sweep over St. Bonaventure.
The three victories extended Saint Louis’ current winning streak to 14 games. The Billikens are now 29-19 on the season and have won 20 of their last 23 games. SLU’s last loss came on April 1.
Against St. Bonaventure this weekend, Saint Louis outscored the Bonnies 36-6 and won two of the games via the run-rule.

On Saturday, the Billikens and Bonnies played a doubleheader, which SLU won by scores of 15-6 and 3-0. Then on Sunday, SLU celebrated Senior Day by smacking St. Bonaventure 18-0, in a game that ended after five innings.
Along with the 14-game overall winning streak, Saint Louis has won 15 straight Atlantic 10 Conference games and 12 straight home games. All three are school records and each currently ranks among the longest streak of its type for any team in NCAA Division I softball.
The Billikens also have a firm grasp on first place in the Atlantic 10 standings and has a chance to win the league’s outright regular season championship when it travels to the northeast next weekend to play three games against UMass.
SLU is 17-5 in conference play, while preseason favorite Dayton is 15-5. The Flyers host George Mason this weekend. If SLU can win more games this weekend than Dayton does, it will win the league title.

In the games against St. Bonaventure, the Billikens dominated mostly via its offense. SLU had a 10-run inning in the opener to turn a 6-2 deficit into a 12-6 lead.
Senior Jane Kaniecki had four hits, four RBIs, and four runs scored to lead the way. Teammate Abby Mallo had two hits and four RBIs. One of those hits was Mallo’s 38th career home run, which passed Sadie Wise’s 37 and made Mallo SLU’s new all-time leader.
It was the same way in the finale on Sunday, when the Billikens scored big in every inning, with four runs each in the first and second innings and five runs each in the third and fourth innings.
Mallo had a huge day, with three hits, including her team-leading 16th home run, which ties the SLU single-season school record. Mallo also owns the SLU single-season RBI record. She now has 69 on the season.
The one game that wasn’t a blowout was the second game on Saturday. Saint Louis had just three hits, but made them all count in a 3-0 win.
Sophomore pitcher Isabel Royle (10-11) tossed a complete-game shutout by going all seven innings and allowing no runs on seven hits, with two walks and five strikeouts.
Senior Taylor Hochman (14-6) threw a shutout on Sunday. She went five innings and gave up no runs, with four hits and four strikeouts.

SLU’s games against UMass this weekend will be a doubleheader on Saturday and the regular season finale on Sunday.
The Billikens will then get ready for the Atlantic 10 Tournament, which will be played in Washington, D.C., May 7-10. The winner of the tournament will earn an automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament, which begins the following weekend and will be played at sites all around the country, May 16-18.
