LITTLE ROCK, AR — Senior guard Anias Futrell scored 19 of his game-high 24 points in the second half to lead the Lindenwood University men’s basketball team to a 79-74 come-from-behind victory over Little Rock, Saturday afternoon in an Ohio Valley Conference game at ULR’s Jack Stephens Center.

Lindenwood led 31-30 at halftime, but fell behind early in the second, until a short jumper by junior Robert Lewis midway through gave the Lions a 51-50 lead. Lindenwood never trailed again the rest of the game.

Little Rock stayed close and tied the score three times in the final 10 minutes, but Lindenwood responded with a basket or free throws every time to retake the lead.

The Lions led by just a point with just under three minutes to go, but a clutch three-pointer by Futrell and a putback tip-in by Milos Nenadic pushed the lead to six with just over a minute left.

From that point on, Little Rock fire up desperate shots and watch as Lindenwood made its free throws to close out the game.
