ST. LOUIS, MO — The Saint Louis University women’s volleyball team will host Loyola Chicago in an important Atlantic 10 Conference matchup, Tuesday night at Chaifetz Pavilion.

Saint Louis is coming off a weekend sweep of George Mason, which was picked one spot in front of the Billikens in the A-10 preseason poll. The visiting Billikens defeated the Patriots in a five-set nail-biter Friday night, before sweeping the home team in three sets on Saturday.

SLU senior Delaney Rice had a monster game on Friday. She posted a career-high 26 kills to lead the Saint Louis offense. Junior setter Kate Aupperle had 35 and 30 assists in the two matches.

Tuesday’s contest will feature two teams tied for fourth place in the A-10 standings. Dayton sits atop the conference standings with a 15-2 overall record while VCU (7-7) and Davidson (10-4) round out the top three.

SLU is 6-13 all time against Loyola Chicago. The Billikens last defeated the Ramblers in 2006. Most recently, the Billikens matched up with Loyola on Oct. 25, 2022, which ended in a 3-1 loss.

Up Next: Saint Louis will be on the road this weekend for a two-match duel with longtime A-10 foe, Duquesne. The Dukes are 6-6 on the year and 1-3 in league play.

SLU will be back home next weekend, October 13 and 14, with two matches against Fordham.
