ST. LOUIS, MO — Fresh off its dominant season-opening win over the Houston Roughnecks last week, the St. Louis Battlehawks will host their 2025 home opener, Sunday at The Dome at America’s Center against the hated rival San Antonio Brahmas.
St. Louis and San Antonio met three times last season, with the Battlehawks winning two of the three. But the Brahmas won the one that mattered most — the 2024 XFL Conference championship — which sent San Antonio to the UFL title game, while the Battlehawks went home for the rest of the summer.
Round No. 4 of what is no doubt the UFL’s best rivalry will take place Sunday night at The Dome and live on FS1.

It’s poised to be another intense matchup between two of the UFL’s best. San Antonio and St. Louis developed quite the rivalry a year ago, as the Brahmas ended up knocking St. Louis out of the playoffs on their home turf.
This season has, so far, told a different story. The Battlehawks looked as dominant as ever, rolling over the Houston Roughnecks in a 31-6 shellacking. However, San Antonio was embarrassed on the road against Arlington, falling 33-9 against a team they had no issues beating a season ago.
Players to Watch: St. Louis will be led by quarterback Manny Wilkins, who won the job in training camp and looked solid as ever last week, as he threw for 189 yards and rushed for another 43, including two touchdowns.
But the Battlehawks’ biggest offensive stars were running backs Jarveon Howard and Jacob Saylors. Howard had 115 rushing yards, including a 74-yard touchdown, while Saylors put up 145 total yards (98 rushing, 47 receiving) and scored a touchdown of his own.
Wideout Jahcour Pearson also had a fine game. He finished with six catches for 83 yards and had 51 yards on punt returns.
San Antonio’s biggest playmaker is running back Anthony McFarland. He only had three carries last week. But Battlehawks fans will probably remember his 69-yard touchdown burst in last year’s conference title game at The Dome.

Up Next: The Battlehawks will back home next week to meet up against the DC Defenders on Sunday, April 13 at the Dome.
Kickoff is set for 2 p.m. and the game will be televised nationally on ABC.
