ST. CHARLES, MO — The Lindenwood University athletics program released its football schedule for the upcoming season. Lindenwood will play 12 games in 2025, seven on the road and five at home at Hunter Stadium.

The season will begin on Thursday, August 28, when the Lions travel to Minnesota to play St. Thomas. The contest will be the second of a home-and-home matchup between the two schools. Last year, Lindenwood defeated St. Thomas, 64-0, in a game at Hunter Stadium.

Lindenwood’s next two games will also be road contests. The Lions will play Appalachian State on September 6, before playing their Big South-OVC Football Association opener against Charleston Southern on September 13.

Lindenwood’s 2025 home opener will be on September 20, when the Lions will host Stony Brook in a non-conference contest at Hunter Stadium. The Lions will go back on the road the following week, when they’ll take on Miami of Ohio on September 27.

October will be a month of all home games for Lindenwood. On October 4, the Lions will host Tennessee-Martin, before heading into their only bye week of the 2025 season.

Then, the following week, on October 18, Lindenwood will host Tennessee Tech. The Lions will then close out October on October 25, with a home game against Gardner-Webb.

Lindenwood will finish the season with three road games and one home game in November. On November 1, the Lions will travel to Nashville to take on Tennessee State. They will then go back on the road the following week, with a game against Western Illinois on November 8.

Lindenwood’s final home game will be on November 15, when the Lions host Eastern Illinois.

The regular season finale will come the following week, on November 22, when Lindenwood heads to Cape Girardeau to play the annual Game Ball Brawl against Southeast Missouri State.

One of Lindenwood’s biggest wins of last season was an upset victory it had over then-No. 6 ranked SEMO, 24-12, at Hunter Stadium.

Kickoff times will be announced at a later date and each Lion home football (and several of the road games as well) will be streamed live on ESPN+.
