ST. CHARLES, MO — The Lindenwood University athletics department announced on Thursday, an agreement with local radio station 590 The Fan (KFNS 590 AM) to broadcast all Lindenwood football road games.

The live broadcasts will be a joint venture between 590 AM and student broadcasters. This agreement provides comprehensive radio coverage for Lindenwood fans in the St. Charles and St. Louis area.

Beginning this Saturday, with Lindenwood’s road tussle against Southeast Missouri, fans will be able to hear Lindenwood football games on 590 The Fan and 590thefan.com.

Football broadcasts will be led by Nate Lucas who has visited with many Lindenwood coaches each week throughout the past year. Lucas hosts “The Verdict” from 2-3 pm Monday-Thursday. Prior to his time at 590, Lucas hosted “Springfield’s Happy Hour” on KWTO. He was also the play-by-play voice for the Springfield Cardinals and Southwest Baptist University.

Lucas graduated from Webster University in 2012 with a Broadcast & Digital Media Journalism degree.

Joining Lucas on the call will be a familiar voice in Lindenwood Athletics, Zach Zook. Over the past six years, Zook has been the play-by-play voice for many Lindenwood events, including football, basketball, baseball, and softball. He was most notably on the call for both football conference championship seasons for the Lions at the NCAA Division II level.

Zook is a 2017 graduate of Missouri, where he began his broadcasting career covering Mizzou athletics, as well as Lincoln University, and William Woods athletics. A native of Normal, Illinois, he also spent a year playing college football for the University of Wisconsin-Stout. Aside from his work at Lindenwood, Zook contributes to Pro Football Focus and has done so for the past five years.

Jacob Stanoch will be heavily involved in the broadcasts as well as serving as the sideline reporter for Lions football on the road. Stanoch is a freshman at Lindenwood, pursuing a degree in communications with an emphasis in broadcasting.
