ST. CHARLES, MO — The Lindenwood University men’s hockey team announced its finalized schedule for the 2023-23 season on Monday. The Lions will play a 28-game regular season this winter, with an increase to 10 home games (up from just four last year) at the Centene Community Ice Center in Maryland Heights.
Just as it did last year, Lindenwood will play a number of teams that expect to be included in the national Top 25 rankings that should be released later this month.
Last year, the Lions played eight nationally ranked teams — all on the road — and expect that at least six of the teams on this year’s schedule will be ranked.
The season will begin on October 7, when Lindenwood will out west to play the Air Force Academy at the Air Force base in Colorado. The Lions will also play several teams from the Big 10, including Ohio State, Michigan, Penn State, and Wisconsin.
Lindenwood’s home opener will come on November 10, when the Lions will host Long Island University.
