ST. CHARLES, MO — With preseason practice set to begin in about a month, the Lindenwood University athletics department released its 2023-24 men’s basketball schedule on Thursday.
Lindenwood will play 31 regular season games, 14 of which will be home games at Hyland Arena.
The Lions will begin the year on Monday, November 6, with a non-conference contest against Nebraska. Lindenwood’s first home game will come the following week, on November 13, when the Lions host Hannibal-LaGrange.
The schedule will be made up of 13 non-conference games and 18 Ohio Valley Conference games. The non-conference contests will include trips to Nebraska, Iowa State, Idaho State, Missouri State, and the Air Force Academy in Colorado for a tournament in before Thanksgiving.
OVC play will begin with the league opener on December 30 against Southern Indiana. The Screamin’ Eagles are one of eight teams Lindenwood will play in a home-and-home series. Other such opponents include Eastern Illinois, Little Rock, Southern Illinois-Edwardsville, Southeast Missouri, Tennessee-Martin, Tennessee Tech, and Western Illinois.
The one league opponent Lindenwood will only play once at home is Tennessee Tech (February 10), and the one OVC opponent the Lions will play only once on the road is Morehead State (March 2).
The OVC Tournament will be played March 6-9 at the Ford Center in Evansville, Ind., with the winner earning an automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament.
