ST. CHARLES, MO — The Lindenwood University baseball team broke out the brooms and earned a series sweep over Tennessee-Martin this weekend.
The Lions won all three games in an Ohio Valley Conference set played at the Lou Brock Sports Complex, by scores of 10-0, 4-3, and 2-0.
Lindenwood is now 14-14 on the season and has won five games in a row.

In the series opener, the Lions jumped all over the Skyhawks and scored four runs in the bottom of the first inning to take a quick lead. The big blow in the inning was a three-run home run by junior first baseman Sam Grunberg.
Senior right fielder Mitch Cummins singled home another run to make it 4-0.
Lindenwood added two more runs in the sixth and three more in the seventh to help build a huge lead, before junior catcher Jake Radosevich belted his team-leading seventh homer of the year to put the Lions up 10-0.
Junior pitcher Josh Newell tossed a complete-game, three-hit shutout — his first career complete game — to get the win.
In Game 2, the Lions rallied from behind three different times, before finally winning when freshman Brodie Short was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded to break a 3-3 tie in the bottom of the ninth inning.
Junior lefty Ethan Smith had a stellar pitching effort. He went six innings and gave up just two runs on two hits, while striking out three.
Cummins had another big hit. It was his two-out, RBI single in the bottom of the eighth that tied the game at 3.

On Saturday, the star of the game was lefty starter Eli Brown, who pitched a complete-game shutout and gave up just three hits with four strikeouts. It was the first complete game of his college career also.
The hitting stars were Radosevich and senior third baseman Bryson Arnette, who both had two hits. Arnette also had an RBI, as did Grunberg.
The Lions will be back in action on Tuesday, when they’ll close out their current homestand with a non-conference game against Southern Illinois. First pitch is scheduled for 3 p.m.
