University of Missouri defensive end Nyles Gaddy was named Southeastern Conference Defensive Lineman of the Week, the league office announced on Monday.

The senior from Nashville, Tenn., who transferred to Missouri from Jackson State this offseason, was fantastic in the Tigers’ 23-19 win over Middle Tennessee State last Saturday.

The 6-foot-4, 215-pounder registered two quarterback sacks, two tackles for loss, and three total tackles to lead the Mizzou defense in a tight matchup against the visiting Raiders that came down to the final play of the game.

It is the second multi-sack performance of his career for the Jackson State transfer and first in a Missouri uniform.

Mizzou is back in action this weekend, taking on No. 15 Kansas State on Saturday, Sept. 16, 2023, at 11 a.m. CT inside a sold out Faurot Field/Memorial Stadium. The game will air on SEC Network and the Tiger Radio Network.
