Missouri running back Nate Noel was named Southeastern Conference Co-Offensive Player of the Week on Tuesday, following the Tigers’ 30-27 double-overtime win over Vanderbilt on Saturday.

Noel, a grad student, who transferred to Missouri this season after playing previously at Appalachian State, carried the ball 24 times for 199 yards in the game. It was the most rushing yards by any SEC player this season. He finished with 207 total yards, which included a 64-yard scamper in the third quarter that helped give Mizzou its first lead of the game.

Noel currently ranks third in the SEC in rushing yards (441) and rushing yards per game (110.3).

The SEC’s other Player of the Week honors went to LSU’s Garrett Nussmeier (Co-Offensive), Arkansas’ TJ Metcalf (Defensive), Florida’s Austin Barber (Offensive Lineman), LSU’s Bradyn Swinson (Co-Defensive Lineman), and three Tennessee players Max Gilbert (Special Teams), Joshua Josephs (Co-Defensive Lineman), and Nico Iamaleava (Freshman).

No. 11 Mizzou has a bye week this week and will return to the field on Saturday, October 5, when it will play its first road game, in College Station against No. 24 Texas A&M.

Kickoff at Kyle Field that day will be at 11 a.m., and the game will be televised nationally on ABC.
