The University of Missouri-St. Louis women’s volleyball team picked up two more wins and maintained its perfect record on the season, by defeating Upper Iowa and Truman State in a pair of Great Lakes Valley Conference matches over the weekend.

UMSL, which was ranked No. 3 in the country in the latest AVCA/Taraflex Top 25 national poll, is now 24-0 overall and 9-0 in GLVC play. The Tritons improved to those marks by knocking off Upper Iowa in straight sets on Friday, and then taking care of Truman State three sets to one on Saturday.

The Tritons are tied for first place in the GLVC standings with No. 17 Quincy, which is also 9-0 in conference play this season. The two team will meet in a match that will likely decide the GVLC regular season championship, this Saturday, November 4. That match will be played at the Mark Twain Building and is scheduled to begin at 3 p.m.

In Friday’s match at Upper Iowa, UMSL was led by senior Lexie Rang, who had a match-high 12 kills. Teammates Delaney Humm and Mya Elliott added 10 kills and eight kills, respectively. Sophomore setter Caitlin Bishop had 37 assists and senior libero Kylie Adams had 13 digs.

UMSL won the match by scores of 25-22, 25-16, 25-20.

On Saturday, it was Humm who led the way. She had a match-high 20 kills. Rang had 14 kills and fellow senior Hailey Flowers had 11. Bishop posted 45 assists and Adams had 18 digs.

The Tritons won that match 25-13, 25-17, 23-25, 25-11.

UMSL’s next match will be on Friday, when it will host Illinois-Springfield at the Mark Twain Building at 6 p.m. That will serve as the set up for the championship showdown against Quincy on Saturday.
