NORMANDY, MO — University of Missouri-St. Louis fifth-year senior Mya Elliott,  sophomore setter Caitlin Bishop and senior libero Kylie Adams were selected as the Great Lakes Valley Conference Offensive, Setter and Defensive Players of the Week for volleyball announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.

OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Mya Elliott, Missouri-St. Louis

Team Results: 3-0 W vs. William Jewell (9/22) | 3-0 W vs. #25 Rockhurst (9/23)

  • Helped the Tritons to their best start in school history (14-0) with a pair of wins this past weekend
  • Recorded .654 hitting percentage with 3.00 kills per set
  • Added five total blocks and two digs
  • Highlighted by her performance against Jewell, hitting .889 with eight kills
  • Earns first career Offensive Player of the Week Award

SETTER OF THE WEEK

  • Highlighted by outing against No. 25 Rockhurst, contributing 41 assists and seven digs

  • Added two assists and two service aces
  • Best performance came against No. 25 Rockhurst, notching a match-high 19 digs
  • Contributed to defensive effort that held its opponents to a .110 attack percentage and just 9.33 kills per set
  • Earns third career Defensive Player of the Week Award (9/25/23, 9/18/23, 10/3/22)
  • Last Tritons’ Defensive Player of the Week: Kylie Adams (9/18/23)
