The Southeastern Conference announced on Wednesday the football schedules for all 16 SEC schools for the 2025 season.

Each SEC football team will play eight conference games, plus at least one required opponent from the ACC, Big Ten, Big 12, Pac 12 or major independent, and each team will have two open dates.

All tolled, each SEC team will play a 12-game regular season, with the top two teams in the league standings (based on winning percentage) advancing to the SEC Football Championship Game, which will be played on Saturday, December 6, at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.

University of Missouri fans were excited to find out their Tigers will begin the season with six consecutive home games, including the season opener — tentatively scheduled for August 30 — at Faurot Field against Central Arkansas.

Missouri will then play games against archrival Kansas (September 6); non-conference foe Louisiana (September 13); the SEC league opener against South Carolina (September 20); and its 2025 Homecoming Game against UMass (September 27).

Mizzou will then have a bye week in college football’s Week 6 (the weekend of October 4), before returning to action with a sixth consecutive home game against Alabama (October 11).

Missouri’s first road game will come the following week, when the Tigers travel south to play Auburn (October 18). Mizzou will be on the road again the following week, when it goes to Nashville to play Vanderbilt (October 18).

The second bye week of the season will come the following week, which will then lead into two straight home games against Texas A&M (November 8) and Mississippi State (November 15).

Mizzou’s final two regular season games of 2025 will be on the road at Oklahoma (November 22) and at Arkansas (November 29).

One of the highlight games of the season will be the renewal of the Border War matchup against Kansas.

It will be the first time Mizzou and Kansas have played in football since 2012 — Missouri’s last season as members of the Big 12.

The Tigers have one more game left on the 2024 schedule. Mizzou will play Iowa in the Music City Bowl in Nashville on December 30. That game will be televised nationally on ESPN, with kickoff time set for 1:30 p.m.
