Saint Louis University junior guard Sincere Parker was named Atlantic 10 Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week on Monday.

Last week, Parker averaged 33.5 points per game in SLU’s games last week against La Salle and Saint Joseph’s. His 67 points scored where the most for any NCAA Division I player.

The 6-foot-3 sharpshooter from Rockford, Ill., shot 22-for-33, with eight three-point makes, and a perfect 15-for-15 from the free throw line in the two games. Parker also averaged 7.5 rebounds and 2.0 assists.

Against La Salle on Feb. 7, Parker poured in 33 points in just 18 minutes in helping the Billikens to the 102-84 win. In the next game against Saint Joseph’s on Feb. 10, he scored a career-high 34 points on 12-of-19 shooting and also tied a career-high with nine assists.

Parker is the first Billiken since Larry Hughes in 1998 to record back-to-back 30-point games for the Bills. For the season, Parker leads Saint Louis in scoring at 15.8 ppg.

The Billikens are back in action on Friday, February 16, when they host VCU at Chaifetz Arena. Tip time on ESPN2 is 6 p.m.
