The glorious moments keep coming for the University of Missouri football team.

The Tigers were picked to finish sixth in the SEC East before the season, but with its incredible play throughout this season, Missouri has locked up second place in the division and have some believing they may be the second-best team in the entire conference, behind two-time defending national champion Georgia.

Last week, the College Football Playoff rankings committee named Missouri its No. 9 team in the country. And on Monday, the national college football writers and coaches agreed that the Tigers are a Top 10 team by ranking Mizzou No. 10 in both the Associated Press and USA Today Coaches Polls.

This is the first time the Tigers have been in the AP Top 10 since the 2013 season when Missouri finished No. 5 in the final poll. The USA Today coaches hadn’t ranked Mizzou in its Top 10 since 2007.

Mizzou (9-2) will finish off its regular season on Friday afternoon, when it travels to Fayetteville, Ark., to play its annual Battle Line Rivalry Game against Arkansas. The game will kick off at 3 p.m. and will be televised nationally on CBS.
