COLUMBIA, MO — The University of Missouri women’s volleyball team pulled off a dramatic rally to come back and win the third set, then took the fourth set as well, to close out a three sets to one victory over LSU, in a Southeastern Conference match, Sunday afternoon at the Hearnes Center.
Mizzou (12-7, 4-4) won the first set 25-19, then lost the second set 20-25, to send the match into the third set tied one-one.
LSU took control of the match in the third set and built a 24-16 lead. But the Tigers rallied.
Boy, did they rally.
Mizzou won eight points in a row to tie the match, then after LSU won a point to set up another set point, the Tigers won three straight points to not only tie the score, but actually win the set.
The fourth set was also tight, with the teams trading points. But Mizzou grabbed a 21-18 lead late, then won four of the matches’ final five points to close out the set and win the match.

That match at the Houck Field House will begin at 6 p.m., and will be streamed live on ESPN+.
Mizzou’s next home match will be Friday, October 24, when the Tigers will host South Carolina. That contest will begin at 7 p.m., and stream live on SEC Network+.
