NORMANDY, MO — The University of Missouri-St. Louis women’s volleyball team is ranked fourth in the country for the second straight week in the latest AVCA/Taraflex Division II Top 25 poll that was released Monday afternoon.

The top five remained the same from last week with Wayne State still holding the top spot and receiving 44 first-place votes. Concordia-St. Paul is second, with two first-place votes, and Tampa remained third and picked up the final first place vote. West Texas A&M checks in at No. 5 again.

UMSL, which is 15-0 on the season, is one of just two remaining unbeaten teams in the country. Tampa is the other at 13-0.

The Tritons are also one of three teams in the Great Lakes Valley Conference ranked in this week’s poll. Lewis moved up three spots to No. 16 after its win at Rockhurst on Saturday. Rockhurst drops from 23rd to 25th and Quincy is in the receiving votes category.

UMSL (15-0, 3-0 GLVC) returns to the court this weekend for two road contests at the University of Indianapolis on Friday and at Lewis on Saturday.

The Tritons will be back home on October 20 and 21, with GLVC matchups against Missouri S&T and Maryville, respectively.
