Staten Island, NY — The Washington University baseball team went on its second road trip of the 2025 season this weekend and came away with a split series in four games against New York University.
The Bears went to the east coast looking to make a run and possibly shoot up the UAA league standings. But everything remained stat, as WashU won two games and lost two games against the host Violets.
The series was played as a pair of doubleheaders — one on Friday and another on Sunday. The Bears won the two games on Friday, by scores of 13-6 and 6-4. But NYU returned the favor and won both games on Sunday, 3-0 and 5-2.

WashU now has a 17-13 record and is 4-8 in conference play.
The Bears will begin a six-game homestand on Wednesday, April 16, when they’ll host Eureka College in a non-conference game.
First pitch at Kelly Field that day is slated for 3 p.m.
