CLAYTON, MO — The Washington University athletics department released its 2024-25 men’s basketball schedule on Wednesday.
The Bears will play 25 regular season games — 11 at home, 11 on the road, and one neutral site game.
Last year, WashU went 20-8 and finished tied for third in the University Athletic Association. The Bears qualified for the NCAA Division III national tournament and hosted first- and second-round games at the WashU Field House.

This year will be the sixth under head coach Pat Juckem. The team didn’t compete in 2020-21 due to COVID-19, but in every other year at WashU, Juckem’s team has has a winning season and has made the NCAA Tournament every year but his first.
The 2024-25 season will begin on Friday, November 8, when the Bears will host Rhodes College in a 7 p.m. game at the WashU Field House. The Bears’ first road game will be Tuesday, November 19, against Webster University.
WashU will play in two early-season invitational events. One will be on November 30 and December 1, at Rhodes College in Memphis, when the Bears will play Colorado College and Rhodes College again. Then in December, WashU will host the 40th annual Lopata Classic on December 6 and 7.
The Bears will play Colby College in the event’s opening game on December 6, then play either UC-Santa Cruz or Denison College in the championship game or consolation game on December 7.

The conference season will begin in January, with WashU playing home-and-home matchups against each of the UAA’s other seven teams.
WashU’s UAA home opener will be on January 11, when the Bears host the University of Chicago. The final game of the regular season will also be a matchup against U. of Chicago, on March 1 at that school’s Ratner Athletics Center.
