CLAYTON, MO — The Washington University athletics department released the finalized version of its 2025-26 men’s basketball schedule on Thursday.
The Bears will play 25 regular season games this season and hope to build on the dramatic finish to last year’s campaign.
In 2024-25, WashU finished with a 23-7 record, which included a nine-game winning streak to begin the year and four postseason wins at the end that helped the Bears claim the Midwest Regional championship and earned the team its fourth ever berth in the NCAA Division III Final Four.
The Bears lost to eventual national runner-up New York University, but last season was still a magnificent one for WashU.

This year, the Bears will play 15 home games, nine road games, and a neutral-site game, beginning with the season opener at the WashU Field House on November 7 against Carroll University.
WashU will also host the 41st annual Lopata Classic on November 14 and 15. The other teams participating in that event this season are Eureka College, Wisconsin-Whitewater, and St. Thomas.
The new season slate will also include 14 University Athletic Association (UAA) conference games. The Bears will play seven home-and-home series against UAA opponents Brandeis, Carnegie-Mellon, Case Western Reserve, Chicago, Emory, NYU, and Rochester.
Tip off for the season opener is set for 6 p.m.
