The University of Missouri football team moved up two spots in the latest Associated Press Top 25 poll, following the Tigers’ 45-3 rout of UMass on Saturday.

Mizzou came into the game ranked No. 21, but has now moved up to No. 19.

The Tigers have moved up and down in the rankings quite a bit, as of late, following a crushing defeat to Texas A&M two weeks ago. Mizzou lost that game — its first loss of the season — by 31 points, and fell 12 spots to No. 21. It was the first time the Tigers had been placed outside of the Top-11 teams in all of 2024.

However, Mizzou’s burst of offense and near-shutout effort against the Minutemen, on Saturday, was enough to move them back up a couple of spots.

There are eight SEC teams ranked in the Top 25, including Texas, which sits at No. 1 after its beatdown win over rival Oklahoma. Georgia is No. 5, Alabama is No. 7, followed by LSU at No. 8.

Tennessee is No. 11, Texas A&M is No. 14, and Ole Miss, even after its loss this past weekend to LSU is No. 18.

Mizzou will be home this weekend, with a matchup against Auburn. Kickoff at Faurot Field is set for 11 a.m., and the game will be televised nationally on ESPN.
