ST. LOUIS, MO — The Saint Louis University athletics department released the official schedule for the 2026 men’s soccer season on Friday.

The Billikens will play 16 regular season games this fall — 10 at home and six on the road — highlighted by marquee matchups against expected ranked opponents SMU, Notre Dame, Akron, and Dayton.

Overall, Saint Louis, the defending Atlantic 10 Conference regular season and tournament champions, who advanced to the College Cup (the men’s soccer version of the Final Four) last season, will play eight conference games and eight non-conference contests, beginning with a home game at Hermann Stadium against the University of Seattle on Thursday, August 20.

SLU will close out August with high-profile matchups against SMU (at home on August 24) and against Notre Dame (on the road on August 28).

The nonconference schedule will continue in September with a home contest against Green Bay on September 2 and the annual Bronze Boot showdown against crosstown rival, SIU-Edwardsville, on September 6. This year’s Bronze Boot game will be played at SIUE’s Korte Stadium.

One of the marquee matches the NCAA men’s soccer season will take place on September 12, when Akron visits Hermann Stadium. That contest will serve as a rematch of last year’s NCAA Tournament quarterfinal, when the Billikens rallied from a two-goal deficit to defeat the nationally-ranked Zips to earn a berth in the College Cup.

Drake visits Hermann Stadium on September29, while 2025 Atlantic Sun Conference champion and NCAA Championship qualifier North Florida comes to St. Louis on October 20.

Atlantic 10 league play will begin September 19, with a showdown at Dayton — a rematch of last season’s A-10 Tournament championship final, which the Billikens won following double-overtime on penalty kicks.

SLU will host Duquesne on September 26, for SLU Homecoming & Family Weekend game, before welcoming Saint Joseph’s on October 3.

SLU then heads east for back-to-back road matches at Fordham (Wednesday, Oct. 7) and La Salle (Saturday, Oct. 10).

The Billikens return home to face VCU on October 17, and Loyola Chicago on October 24, before concluding the regular season Halloween night, on the road, at Davidson.

SLU also announced it will play two exhibition games before the start of the regular season. The first will be on the road in Chicago, against DePaul on Saturday, August 8. Then, the Billikens will host Northern Illinois at home on August 15.

Most Billiken games in 2026, particularly the games at home, will be streamed live on ESPN+.
