COOKEVILLE, TN — The Lindenwood University football team will be on the road for an intriguing matchup against Tennessee Tech, Saturday afternoon at Tucker Stadium.

The Lions are coming off a thrilling 49-38 Homecoming Day victory over Western Illinois in a game that featured 12 total touchdowns and over 1,200 yards of total offense. There were two ties and nine lead changes before Lindenwood finally put the game away in the fourth quarter.

Tennessee Tech is coming off a 28-23 win over Charleston Southern last week, which snapped a three-game losing streak for the Golden Eagles.

Both clubs have winning records in the Big South-OVC Football Association, at 3-2. Lindenwood is 4-5 overall this season, while TTU is 3-5.

Players to Watch: Freshman RB Steve Hall put together an historic day last week, as he rushed for 259 yards on just 13 carries, and scored four touchdowns to lead the Lindenwood offense. Hall averaged nearly 20 yards per attempt and finished just 13 yards short of the program’s single-game rushing record.

Following the game, the St. Louis native, who attended MICDS High School, was named the Big South-OVC and FCS National Freshman of the Week.

Lindenwood also features one of the top WRs in the conference in junior Jeff Caldwell, who leads the Big South-OVC in receiving yards (779), receiving touchdowns (nine), and average yards per catch (22.4).

Tennessee Tech RB Jalen Mitchell is seventh in the conference with 445 rushing yards on 87 carries, while teammate Aidan Littles, who missed some time earlier due to an injury, is second in the conference (only behind Lindenwood’s Hall) in average yards per carry (6.7).

Up Next: Lindenwood will be back home next week for its annual Game Ball Brawl rivalry game against Southeast Missouri State. The Redhawks are currently ranked No. 6 in the FCS national rankings and are on a bye this week.
