SAN ANTONIO, TX — The University of Missouri-St. Louis men’s basketball team earned its fourth win in its last five games on Tuesday, when it defeated Pittsburg State, 62-58, in an opening day game at the River City Holiday Classic in San Antonio.
The Tritons got a game-high 21 points and five rebounds from junior Matt Enright, and 20 points and 11 rebounds from fellow junior KC Udolisa. The duo combined to make 11-of-18 shots, including six three-pointers (four by Enright), in the win.
Another junior, 6-10 center Troy Glover, was also a force. He had six points, eight rebounds, and three blocked shots.

UMSL grabbed the lead midway through the first half and led by as many as 16 points early in the second, before Pitt State rallied to tie the score with three minutes to play and take the lead with just under two minutes to go.
That deficit was brief though, as Udolisa went on a 7-2 run all by himself. He made a layup and got fouled, for a three-point play that gave the Tritons the lead. Then he made four more free throws to put UMSL up for good with 34 seconds left.
The Gorillas got a slam dunk to get within two with 10 seconds left, but UMSL’s Savon Wykle made two free throws with 7 seconds left to put the game away.
With the win, UMSL is now 4-6 on the season and it will look to go two-for-two at the River City Classic when it plays on Wednesday against Rogers State. The Hillcats will be coming off a huge upset win on Tuesday. They defeated No. 9 North Georgia in a game that preceded the UMSL-Pitt State contest.
