The new Associated Press Top 25 college basketball poll was released on Monday and in it, the University of Missouri Tigers moved up five spots, from No. 20 to No. 15, in the national rankings.
Missouri also moved up five from in the USA Today Coaches Poll to No. 16.
Mizzou is one of nine SEC schools in the top 25. The bump comes after the team throttled Mississippi State on the road on Saturday, 88-61. The Bulldogs fell from No. 16 to No. 22 in the AP Poll as a result of the loss.

Mizzou is now 17-4 on the season, with a 6-2 record in SEC play, which puts the Tigers in sole possession of third place in the league standings.
Missouri trails first-place Auburn (9-0) and second-place Alabama (8-1), and are 1/2 game ahead of Florida (6-3) and Texas A&M (6-3), who are tied for fourth place.
The Tigers will play fifth-place Tennessee (5-4) on Wednesday, before hosting No. 10-ranked Texas A&M on Saturday.
