Earlier this week, the Ohio Valley Conference-Big South Football Association league office announced its weekly awards. Lindenwood stars, quarterback Nate Glantz and wide receiver Rico Bond were named Offensive Player of the Week and Freshman of the Week, respectively.

In last Saturday’s 30-27 win over Stony Brook, Glantz completed 20-of-29 passes for 249 yards and two touchdowns. He also ran 13 times for 104 yards and a score. The Elkhorn, Neb. native is the first Lindenwood quarterback with over 200 yards passing and 100 yards rushing in a single game since 2022.

Through four games this season, Glantz has compiled 1030 passing yards and 10 total touchdowns (five passing, five rushing). In 2024, Glantz rushed for five scores all season. The senior quarterback leads the OVC-Big South in total offense, averaging 287 yards per game.

Bond, a St. Louis native, who played his high school ball at East St. Louis High in Illinois, has now found the end zone in three consecutive weeks after catching two more touchdowns against the Seawolves.

The redshirt freshman finished the game with eight catches and 119 yards, which are both career-highs. He now leads the Association in receiving yards (301) and touchdowns (4), while ranking second in receptions with 23. This is his second time winning the award this season.
