NASHVILLE, TN — The Lindenwood Lions will be on the road for an OVC-Big South Football Association matchup against Tennessee State on Saturday. Kickoff from Nissan Stadium is slated for 3:30 p.m.
Lindenwood is coming off a 48-20 loss to Gardner-Webb last week. Darrin Fugitt finished the day with four catches for 46 yards and a touchdown.
Running back Steve Hall had his best game of the year, rushing for 105 yards and a touchdown. It was the third rushing score in the last five games for the native St. Louisan.
The Lions rushed for 165 yards in the contest, its second-highest rushing total of the season. Jared Rhodes added 59, while La’Revious Woods had 20. The other offensive scores came via Will Graham who had his first-career two field goal game, converting from 31 and 28 yards.
Sanjay Strickland led the defensive unit with 11 stops last Saturday, his third game this season with 11 tackles or more. The redshirt senior linebacker leads the Lions with 65 tackles on the year — third-most in the OVC-BigSouth.

Tennessee State, which has a 2-6 overall record and is 0-4 in conference play, is led by QB Byron McNair, who has passed for 1,024 yards and six touchdowns this season.
RB Kendric Rhymes leads the Blue Tigers in rushing with 403 yards and three touchdowns. WR Devaughn Slaughter has been TSU’s top receiver, with 31 catches for 321 yards and two touchdowns.
DE James Stewart leads TSU with 44 tackles, 10.5 tackles for loss, and 3.5 quarterback sacks this season.
Up Next: Lindenwood will be on the road again next week, with a matchup at Western Illinois next Saturday. Kickoff at Hanson Field is set for 1 p.m.
