ST. LOUIS, M0 — The University of Missouri-St. Louis women’s volleyball team rose up one spot to No. 3 in the country, in this week’s AVCA/Taraflex Division II Top 25 poll, which was released Monday afternoon.

UMSL, which is 22-0 on the season, received 1,065 total points adjusted including two first-place votes adjusted this week. Wayne State (Neb.) continues to hold the top spot with 1,169 and 43 first-place votes while Tampa climbed to second with 1,117 and the final two first-place votes. Concordia-St. Paul fell two spots to fourth and West Texas A&M is ranked fifth.

UMSL is one of four Great Lakes Valley Conference teams ranked in this week’s poll. Lewis rose to 13, Quincy moved up three spots to 21 and Rockhurst moved up a spot to 24.

The GLVC has the second most teams ranked in this week’s poll behind the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference with five.

The Tritons are on the road this weekend, traveling to Fayette, Iowa and Kirksville, Mo., to play GLVC league games against Upper Iowa and Truman State, respectively.

UMSL will be back home, the first weekend in November to play matches against Illinois-Springfield and Quincy, on November 3 and 4.
