Last week proved to be a dynamite week in recruiting for the University of Missouri football program.

The Tigers, who have been having a fantastic summer landing recruits for the 2025 recruiting class, made a pair of huge additions when Top 100 rated wide receivers Donovan Olugbode and Jayvan Boggs announced their commitments to Missouri last week.

Olugbode announced his intentions to play for Mizzou last Friday. The Bradenton (Fla.) IMG Academy standout visited several programs this summer, but told the world he wanted to play for Mizzou at an event attended by family, friends, and teammates.

“It’s gonna be Mizzou,” Olugbode told Rivals.com. “It’s just their offensive system with Kirby Moore, the development aspect at the wide receiver position with coach (Jacob) Peeler and the head coach, Drink (Eli Drinkwitz), is a real genuine guy. I could see myself playing for him, especially in this offense that showcases receivers.”

Selecting Missouri over finalists Washington, USC and Florida, Olugbode says the return trip to campus for the official visit was a major turning point in the recruitment.

The combination of the chance to return to his native Midwest, play SEC ball and more made the Tigers pitch that much sweeter.

“When I sat down with my family, narrowed it down with the pro’s and con’s, it was the best fit.” he said. “To be closer to home, it’s like a 50 minute flight from Chicago, so it’s a plus for them (the family).

“The SEC helps. That’s the best conference in college football and they’re not going anywhere. Playing with the best and going against the best week-in, week-out.”

Boggs announced his commitment on Thursday. He had offers from USC, Florida, Georgia, and Notre Dame, but most believe the final decision came down to Mizzou and Central Florida. Boggs originally committed to Ohio State, but de-committed from the Buckeyes and re-opened his recruitment back in March.

The Cocoa (Fla.) standout is one of seven four-star recruits Missouri has signed this summer. Olugbode is ranked as the nation’s No. 56 overall prospect. He is No. 11 overall in Florida and the No. 9 wide receiver in America. He comes the highest-rated member of Mizzou’s 2025 class and the third Rivals100 prospect to commit to the Tigers.

“Coach Drinkwitz is really building something at Missouri being a top team in the SEC,” Boggs said. “I have a great relationship with coach Drink, Coach Peeler and really the whole staff. I just felt like it was a great fit.”

Boggs caught 93 passes for 1500 yards and 24 touchdowns as a junior in leading his team to a Florida state championship. That season helped him debut among the nation’s elite prospects at No. 250 in December. In the seven months since, he’s risen nearly 200 spots and currently checks in as the No. 67 overall prospect in the country.

After decommitting from Ohio State, Boggs took unofficial visits to Texas, Florida, Missouri, UCF and Georgia. He then scheduled return officials to Mizzou, Florida, Georgia and UCF plus one to USC. But the only two trips he ended up making were to UCF and Mizzou, canceling the three others before making it to campus.

Along with the Missouri coaching staff, Zollers had been recruiting Boggs heavily both privately and publicly. The effort paid off as the four-star QB now has a premier target joining him in the Tigers’ class.

“I can be moved all around the field as a receiver,” he said. “Just a playmaker at the end of the day.”
