The Saint Louis University men’s basketball team announced on Monday that it had scheduled a new game for this season.

It will take place on Friday, November 22, as part of the 2024 Hall of Fame Classic and will be played at the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City. Saint Louis will play Wichita State, game time and broadcast information will be announced at a later time.

The matchup is part of a doubleheader that also includes Iowa vs. Utah State.

The 2024 Hall of Fame Classic will mark the event’s 24th year of operation in Kansas City, and its first to be structured as a neutral-site doubleheader. The Hall of Fame Classic is managed by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC).

The Billikens and Shockers will be meeting for the 66th time overall and for sixth time in the last 11 years. Last season, Wichita State defeated SLU in the Myrtle Beach Invitational as the Shockers posted a 17-15 record under then-first-year head coach Paul Mills.

The Billikens have played three previous games at the T-Mobile Center, where they have posted a 2-1 record. SLU defeated Kansas State there in 2019, and defeated Texas A&M before falling to Kansas in the 2012 Hall of Fame Classic.

Two games have officially been announced on the Billikens’ season schedule. SLU opens the season November 4, against Santa Clara in Sioux Falls, S.D., as part of the Field of 68 Opening Day Showcase. The full season schedule is expected to be released in early September.
