COLUMBIA, MO — The University of Missouri wrestling team announced its 2024-25 season schedule earlier this month.
The Tigers will compete in 12 dual meets — six at home and six on the road — along with two tournament invites and the Collegiate Wrestling Duals in Nashville, before moving on to the Big 12 Championships and the NCAA Championships in March.
The season will begin with the annual Black and Gold Scrimmage at Hearnes Center on October 25.
Head coach Brian Smith, who is entering his 27th season as Mizzou’s wrestling coach, will then lead the Tigers into the season, which will begin on November 2 with a dual meet against Northern Colorado.
Mizzou will host the Tiger Style Invite the following weekend (November 9) at Staley High School in Kansas City. Staley is the alma mater of Mizzou senior Rocky Elam.
The Tigers will then have three straight dual meets on the road — at Virginia Tech (November 15), at Illinois (November 21), and vs. Northern Iowa in Hartland, Wis., (November 26), before moving on to the Cougar Clash national invitational tournament at SIUE in Edwardsville, Ill.
The dual against Northern Iowa was moved to Arrowhead High School in Hartland so Mizzou star Keegan O’Toole could wrestle at his alma mater and in front of his hometown fans one last team before he graduates in May.

The Collegiate Wrestling Duals are December 21 and 22 in Nashville and will be the final event of 2024.
The new year will begin with five straight home dual meets. The Tigers will face Cornell (January 3), Stanford (January 12), Utah Valley (January 17), Arizona State (January 22), and West Virginia (January 26).
The first road trip of 2025 will be through Oklahoma, when Missouri face Oklahoma (February 1) and Oklahoma State (February 2). The regular season will end with a home meet against Iowa State on February 22.
The Big 12 Championships will be in Tulsa, March 8 and 9, and will lead into the NCAA Championships, which will be in Philadelphia this season, on March 20 and March 22.
