COLUMBIA, MO — The University of Missouri athletics program made a schedule change announcement on Wednesday. It announced that its home football game against Troy, scheduled for Saturday, September 19, will now be a night game.

The game at Faurot Field that day was originally scheduled to kick off at 11:45 a.m., but on Wednesday, Missouri announced the game will now start at 6 p.m.

No immediate reason was given for the time change. Moving the game to 6 p.m., also now means that all four of Mizzou’s games in September will be night time games.

The season opener on Thursday, September 3 against Arkansas-Pine Bluff and the Week 2 matchup against archrival Kansas are both set for 7 p.m. starts.

The Troy game is now scheduled for a 6 p.m. start. And the Week 4 and SEC conference opener against Mississippi State on September 26 will be at night.

Kickoff time for that contest has not been set yet, but the league office did announce the start time will be between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m.
