ST. CHARLES, MO — The Lindenwood University athletics department released its 2025-26 men’s basketball schedule on Wednesday.
Lindenwood, which is coming off a 16-17 season last year, will play 31 regular season games this year — 14 at home, 16 on the road, and one neutral site game — before potentially qualifying to play in the postseason at the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament in March.
Lindenwood’s non-conference road schedule will be particularly challenging. The Lions will play at Texas Tech, at Saint Louis University, at Indiana, and at Missouri State.
The season opener will be that game at Texas Tech on Tuesday, November 4. The game at SLU will be the following Monday, on November 10. The games at Indiana and Missouri State will be mid-week matchups on Thursday, November 20, and Tuesday, December 23.
“I think we have put together a challenging, yet competitive schedule that will prepare us for OVC play,” Lindenwood head coach Kyle Gerdeman said. “The guarantee games vs. Missouri, Oklahoma, Valpo, and Ole Miss will obvious be tough test for us, but the remaining non-conference games gives us a chance to test ourselves against more similar opponents.”

Lindenwood’s 2025-26 home opener will be on Thursday, November 6, at Hyland Arena against the University of Health Sciences & Pharmacy, which plays at the NAIA level. Lindenwood’s only other home game in November will be on Monday, November 24 against Kansas City.
The Ohio Valley Conference schedule will begin in mid-December. The OVC includes 11 teams — Eastern Illinois, Lindenwood, Little Rock, Morehead State, Southeast Missouri State, SIU-Edwardsville, Southern Indiana, Tennessee State, Tennessee Tech, Tennessee-Martin, and Western Illinois — that will play a true round-robin slate of 20 league games to determine a regular season champion.
The top eight teams will qualify for the conference tournament, which will be played March 4-7 at the Ford Center in Evansville, Ind. The winner of the OVC Championship Tournament will earn an automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament.
Lindenwood’s OVC home opener will be Saturday, December 6 against Eastern Illinois. The regular season finale will also be against Western Illinois on February 28.
