After earning a pair of dynamic road wins last week and pushing its current unbeaten streak to four straight games, the Saint Louis University men’s soccer team vaulted back into the United Soccer Coaches’ Top 25 national rankings this week.

The new poll was released on Tuesday and in it, Saint Louis was ranked No. 20. The Billikens had been ranked as high as No. 7 in the country, before a string of unfortunate ties and losses in late September caused the team to be dropped from the polls.

Since then, SLU has three strong wins and a tie, which forced the voting committee members to reconsider how they see the Billikens.

Saint Louis is now 7-2-4 on the season and still unbeaten in Atlantic 10 Conference play, with a 4-0-1 record. The Billikens are in a virtual tie for first place in the conference. Fordham is 4-0-2 and technically leads the league standings.

The teams will meet in a first-place showdown at Hermann Stadium on Saturday. Opening kick is set for 7 p.m.
